Challenges for schools

The The challenges / issues in Schools

  • Lack of adequate funding to attract and retain qualified staff, educator training and development and high quality educational resources.

  • Teacher shortages, overwhelm and high turnover rates make it difficult to prevent staff burnout, ensure minimum staff-student ratios are met and consistency in quality program development and delivery

  • Inadequate and costly Continuing Professional Development and staff training means many educators aren't able to access the research, teaching practices and resources that enable quality educational outcomes for all children.

  • Difficulty engaging parents and carers in their child's learning. We know that best outcomes are achieved when early childhood educators and parents work together to meet the unique needs of each child and support child wellbeing.

The Teacher Family Partnerships Program resources schools to overcome many of these challenges by:

  • Providing year-round access to cost-effective flexible continuing professional development programs for teachers and staff

  • Supporting ongoing parent engagement and support

  • Bringing teachers and parents/carers together to nurture child development and wellbeing
